2019 Police Unity Tour

This year’s Police Unity Tour featured a local team of 8 including 4 riders, Gloria Opstad, Steve Bowles, Julia and Brian Clasby, and 4 in support of the event, Lori Erpelding, Samantha Mathias, Stephanie Smith and David Opstad, representing Cypress, Seal Beach and Garden Grove Police Departments all remembering and honoring Matt. All bikes had a tribute to Matt and all team members knew and missed Matt. Three days of riding, through wind and rain, over slick bridges and lots of rolling hills took the team from Somerset, New Jersey, through Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland and ending the 3 day trip at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. It was an unforgettable moving and inspiring experience.
